One of the areas I'd like to visit on a Band of Brothers tour in 2018, is Central Europe. Especially for the WW1 and WW2 sites.

During WW2 in Budapest, an underground hospital was created in the ancient caves under Castle Hill. Hospital had its own water reservoirs, electric generators, x-ray, huge ventilating system, etc. which barely managed to function as the city was bombed during 44-45. Staff included several Jewish doctors, whose identities were hidden from the wartime pro-German government. When Budapest fell to the Soviet Union troops, staff took injured Hungarian and German troops, dressed them in civilian clothes, and treated them along with other patients to prevent their being killed by Soviet troops.
