Nice, but the vin doesn't sound right: # TS1096UL, is that a typo? My '56 is TS10193

Obviously not my ride....But would guess you are correct...and the VIN is off. The "U" must be a number also. Gil NoCal

Looks like they put brand new stickers on the air cleaners then ran out of money or got discouraged.

Hope it finds a good home.

$9750 seems pretty optimistic, no?

Paid more for the special "A WINNER" plates than he did on the entire restoration.....

Yeah, that price is a bit steep. He mentions floors, so who knows what other rust problems it has. Doesn't have disc brakes either, but I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to add.

IMO, price is WAY steep. I paid about half of that for my 56, with disc brakes and almost no rust at all. For $9k, I could have bought a running car.

There also seem to be some wrong parts : looks like a TR4 rocker cover & shift lever. Probably means it has a TR4 engine & gearbox; and I think I can almost see where the tunnel was pounded out to clear.

Wrong rear view mirror as well (not that it's any big deal).

And the blue plate would be from the 70's, which might mean it's not an all-California car (which also helps explain the rust).

I'm about 100 miles north of SD, farther than I'm willing to go for this car.
