I can be a bit obsessed at times, like when deciding to rebuild the front suspension of the MG. All the ~original~ fasteners are here, so decided they needed de-rusting and a refurb instead of replacement. wire brushed, muriatic acid soaked, neutralised and washed clean. Fine wire wheel'd and painted black. I know, I know; the originals weren't PAINTED. Not my point. To paint a bunch of pidd'ly bits I'd usually find a piece of cardboard and slit a small "X" in it for each part and insert 'em half way. After about two "batches" the holes would get worn, parts would woggle around and another piece of cardboard was needed...
Well I've found a better material. Plastic! Old vertical blinds have found new life here. I cut a few 18" long sections for ease of handling. Same "X" slit but usable over and over. Painting with a spray bomb and then hang the whole affair to dry the parts.
TA-DAH!
