I also suspect there may be some steering issues with this car. The steering wheel is not only non-original but looks to have been installed incorrectly. (At least it is on the correct side, though!!)

G'day Frank,

What a gem.

That new fangled fly by wire steering conversion is fascinating, but sure as apples she'll still have the original heater, with such a fogged up windscreen.

It's a bit of a nuisance that the door handles have fallen off, but probably just a consequence of Santa's work load on Xmas eve !.

How's the Silverstone machine coming along ?. Suppose it's a bit nippy over your way at the moment to be out working on it all that much.

Best regards,

Viv.

Hello Viv! Things he are a bit frosty but not as cold as I can remember as a lad. The 250 is resting peacefully in the garage awaiting the first signs of spring. My grandsons, age 3 and 5 have wanted to go sledging for weeks but we just haven't had enough snow. We may have to tke them to the mountains if this continues. Seems like the global warming is for real. I was talking to a friend from my home town. At one time he worked for our local newspaper. Recently he spent a day going through the archives back to the late 40's when we were born. He has confirmed our suspicions concerning temperature and snow fall. Much more snow and colder then but gradual warming especially in the 1970's. Another thing, we walked to school back then. No yellow school bases for us. And if memory serves, it was up hill both ways! :jester:

Andy: I was trying to be correct in the English lit. sense!

sledge 1 or esp US & Canad sled

1. a vehicle mounted on runners, drawn by horses or dogs, for transporting people or goods over snow
2. a light wooden frame used, esp. by children, for sliding over snow
<span style="color: #FF0000"><span style="font-weight: bold">Verb

Nick: Is this a leg pull or are you serious? In americanese we generally say <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">sledding</span></span> not <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">sledging</span></span> on snow.

Well that started something Frank, but I understood loud and clear.

I'll listen out for the hootin' and hollerin' at 12.00 noon, Jan 20.

Amen on that one. Of course, they have it easy because we make it easy for 'em!
Geez - imagine if they actually all had to do real *work* to earn money ...
