Rather than try to post these to the last thread and fill up Basil's server, I just added a page to my website. I think that Jeff may be sending me more pictures of the carbs apart and the internal work, if they came out clearly.

A great photo documentation Paul.

Makes me more anxious to get my carbs back from Jeff and see how they turn out.

I picket up the engine hoist yesterday and plan on pulling the engine and trans later this morning. Only 25 degrees here so it might take longer because of warm up trips to the house.

Hey Paul,

Looks really good. Beautiful finish on the alum.

Did you ever think of using silicone tube between the runners? It might hold up better to heat from the exhaust manifold.

No, I hadn't given that any thought. With my yearly average of 1,600 miles staying about the same, these should last a while.

Good luck with yours. I think that you'll be happy with Jeff's work. Actually there are two Jeff's, one for the carbs and another for the distributor work.

Is there any type of protective coating added or is it just bare polished aluminum?

It's bare polished aluminum and I'm sure that it will not look that way forever. Any clear coating would eventually yellow with the heat of the engine over the years, so I just have to maintain it a bit. It's not like I drive it 30,000 miles per year, so by the time that it turns color, I'll probably be older and more feeble than I am now. In that case, I probably won't notice the difference.
