Guess what fell off a shelf in my shop. An old parts book. Looking back at the prices then, I first said Wow! Then I realized how much less I made then then now. ( <s>about 1/3 less </s> 1/3 of what I make now)
<span style='font-family: Fixedsys'> 1987 now

Gasoline -------- .969 per gallon - $3.569
TR6 parts
Window channels -- NLS ------------- 62.50
Speedometer ---- 99.00 -------------- NLS
Floor pans ----- 89.50 ------------ 189.95
Dash boards --- 137.00 ------------ 269.95
Bumpers ------- 195.00 ------------- NLS
Front Fender -- 190.50 ------------ 479.95
Rockers -------- 39.50 ------------- 94.95
Red-Line tires - 99.00 NLS</span>

Here is the reason this country is going broke. In 20 years you make 1/3 more, but everything doubles or triples in price. Doesn't add up, but what can you do?

Pardon my arithmetic /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif Should have read 1/3 of current earnings.....

A lot of that is due to the lousy exchange rate, IMO.

And at least some things have gotten cheaper ... I noticed that TR6 clutch MCs were $150 in my old MOSS pdf catalog, but only $80 on their website.

Yeah but they are probably made in China out of lead, with paper mache o-rings.
