When you find one please let me know. I have searhed hi & lo, NY to New Delhi. The only air dams I have seen is on the race cars & it is was simply a flat metal skin wraped around the front, they weren't worried about the way it looked.
I have thought about modifying a front facia from a siminlar sized car or customizing the original spoiler to make it more aggressive but it's low on the list of "to do's" now.

I am using the fiberglass aftermarket air deflector on my TR6. It was originally made by a company called Slimline. I tried Goolging them and came up flat. The above mentioned site shows what looks like the same air dam or deflector that I have. The hardtops that they show also look like the Slimline product line. I purchased this fiberglass air deflector because new OE were no longer available but TRF supposedly now has them. At any rate, I have been very happy with my fiberglass deflector. It is extremely well made and quite sturdy, showing no signs of cracking. It seems to me that one could take this item and with some knowledge of fiberglass they could easily come up with a much more aggressive air dam that would hold up well and look professional. Give the above company a call and ask if they used to be Slimline. I am in no hurry to buy a replacement as this one looks and acts like the real deal. And was cheap.

darn, I used to have a spare fiberglass spoiler that looked like it was for TR6. But, I think I might have sold it. Picked it up at a swap meet years ago and toyed with the idea of installing it on my TR4, but it wouldn't have been a very good fit. If it turns up somewhere in my spares, I'll get back in touch.
You might only be able to find a stock-style fiberglass spoiler. However, perhaps you could modify that to more what you want. F'glass is pretty easy to work with.
Maybe the company you are looking for is SmoothLine, a Canadian (I think) manufacturer of fiberglass parts. In the past, I thought they offered a wider range of parts. But, looking at their website just now, they appear to be focusing on just hardtops for modern and classic cars. www.smoothline.com is the address if you want to check it out, or send them a question.
Here in the U.S., you might email or call Ken Gillanders at British Frame & Engine (www.britishframeandengine.com). He has a lot of sources and might be able to help. I've done a lot of business with him and he's great to deal with. (You might *not* want to call him if you don't have *a lot* of minutes on your cell phone plan! He's been building and racing Triumphs for 50 years and has many hours of stories to tell. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)
Ted Schumacher (www.tsimportedautomotive.com) might be worth a call or email.

Honeybourne Mouldings in England offers a wide range of fiberglass (oops, in BritSpeak that would be fibreglass, I suppose) body parts, including some sort of spoiler for TR6. I couldn't find a picture of it, but I think this company supplies f-glass body bits to many of the British TR vendors. They do offer a lot of vintage racing parts, such as the wider "Beta"-style TR3 fenders, and might have special items for TR6, too. Their website is www.honeybournemouldings.co.uk
If you go there, look for "products" or "price" links, which list more of the items they offer. Not everything is shown and detailed elsewhere on the site. And, I'm not sure whether the prices shown include VAT or not. That's a British tax that U.S. buyers don't have to pay, and is significant, 17.5% I believe.

Rimmer Bros. and Revingon TR both also list spoilers for TR6, I would guess stock style. But their prices are significantly higher than Honeybourne and no pictures are shown on their websites. Might be worth emailing for more info. www.revingtontr.com and www.rimmerbros.co.uk I've bought various items from Neil Revington and he's good to deal with. I've not bought from Rimmers... yet... but hear good things.
Racetorations (www.racetorations.co.uk) is more specialised providing parts the 4-cylinder TRs, AFAIK. They offer TR3 racing spoilers, though, might have something for TR6. I've bought from Darryl and their stuff is quite good.
Cost of shipping from England is a bit high, but shouldn't be too bad for a fiberglass spoiler, since it isn't too large or heavy.
If you order *anything*, ask them specify on the package (customs form) that it's parts for a "classic/collectible car", not just "auto parts". I think that will still save you a lot on import duties, which the carrier will probably need to collect. Used to be 10% duty on classic car parts, 30% duty on auto parts. Alternatively, you might ask them if they have a Canadian or Mexican distributor you could order from, which might save more on import duties. (I asked about a U.S. distributor some months ago, and they didn't have one at the time. However, a U.S. distributor would still have to pay duties on the wholesale price of parts, most likely adding to the final cost to you.)
Finally, there are some TR and Triumph vintage racing specialists in Australia and New Zealand. They can be a bit hard to track down (perhaps due to the language gap). I know Ken at British Frame & Engine has some contacts there, though.

Right you are, Alan. It was indeed Smoothline. Thanks for the correction. You might call them and see if they still have the air deflectors for the TR6. Solid product. Their tops are also of a good quality, it is just that they don't have that "original" look that most of us seem to want. Too bad they don't make a duplicate of the original top.

Yeah, I asked them about that while seraching for a TR4 hardtop. They are happy with their "Parrish style" tops. Honeybourne offers very close reproducions of the "correct" hard top I'm looking for, in either the usual two-piece style, or a light weight, one-piece look-alike. Unlike a spoiler, I'm afraid shipping a hard top from England might be prohibitive. Maybe after I win the lottery... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

OK Guys, I have to admit I did one back in the days on my TR4 and still have the metal frameworks from the first build. It included a spoiler along with the air dam and stuck out about four inches from the car. You couldn't use a bumper with this type setup and it is impossible to really blend it into the fenders when used as a separate piece, so it looked kind of bulky right there, but needed for firmness in the corners. I used some air vent hose in the grill to get cooling for the brakes. It would take the front end down about one inch at 48 MPH, you could watch it drop and the car was solid on the road. I will try and find a picture BD (before dog). Picked that sucker up and carried him until I stopped, he ran like heck and didn't offer to pay. Wayne

The prices DO include VAT (it says so on the home page), and you're right about it being 17.5%. To get the untaxed price just divide by 1.175.
