Mexican tonight at my favorite little place here in Gurley! Unfortunately, its been discovered...I had 'Steak el Coyote' - a 10 oz ribeye smothered in onions, mushrooms and a cheese/jalapeno sauce that's to die for!
We were going to have take-home from a local sub shop after Jean got off work...but had friends from St.Louis call on their way home from Michigan...and ended up eating at a steak house in Champaign. We had filets and baked potatoes washed down with Bass. Ate at Hooters on Friday night...hot wings (I like the Three-Mile sauce as does my stomach the next morning) and chicken sandwich, washed down with Sam Adams.
Steak 'n cheeze sammige on fresh Cuban bread, from thin sliced roast leftover from Friday eve... dessert was summer sausage sliced with hot pepper jack cheeze on crackers. CAB as beverage. *beeerp*! ahhhh.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
Roasted pork, smashed potatoes with mushroom
gravy, green peas, some baby carrots roasted
with the pork. Jumbo stuffed olives and dried
fruit/nuts mix on the side.
A nice Merlot for Wendy; a slendid diet peach
iced tea for Dale.
Please Lord, we thank you for your
many blessings and most humbly
we ask that you spare Stiny's life
from the gut rot food he intends to
ingest tonight.
A tagine of Chicken with preserved lemon and green olives. Jasmine rice on the side. Friends are coming over bringing a cheap red wine to wash it down. Got to prepare the chicken (skin and cut off the fat) in a few minutes so it can marinate in cilantro, parsley, ginger, garlic, cumin and saffron. The house is going to smell really nice in a few hours. Recipe courtesy of Saveur
