What'd you get for Christmas?

Offline
I didn't get anything LBC related. But I did get a new Stanley Thermos (the good stainless one), A veggy and rice Steamer, A Food Processor, Another Crockpot, A really nice RCA MP3 player, A portable dvd player, A wireless router, an Atari 2600 lookalike game with something like 50 games built in (nothing like classic 8 bit gaming)... and the only car related thing I got was...

A Mclaren SLR Mercedes!!!!!!!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif albeit at 1/25th scale, it won't get driven much. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

What did you get?

The usual, plus my son gave me the complete set of James Bond DVD's - don't know if I'll ever have time to watch all that, but it will be fun trying!

He and my mother-in-law gave the wife and me a Garmin GPS mapping thingie. More technology to figure out (but I'm looking forward to playing with that).

Oh... I also got a fancy blender with a spigot... should make for an interesting new years eve - heheheheheh... margarita's, colada's, and daquari's all around. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

got the Moss billet MG brake and clutch pedal, and the Paddy Hopkirk gas pedal, a couple of 'brain teaser' puzzles, some old MG badge (I'm gonna have to post a pic of it so i can figure out which MG it came from), t-shirt that says "Your shirt says Princess, but your face says Troll", flannel PJs, home made cookies, and a couple other things that I'm sure I'm forgetting... OH yeah, I also got some stuffed doll type thing that looks like a middle aged "My Buddy" holding onto a mug of beer and remote that burps and **** when you click the remote... That oughta be fun around the office.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I got a 1:6 scale Ford 427 SOHC model! But that was the only car related thing I got.

As for GPS, my father-in-law LOVES geocaching (If you don't know what that is, look it up... TONS of fun if you like treasure hunting!) so I hid his present as part of a 6 part multi-cache around his yard before leading him to his present which I had left under the tree all along. It was great! He loved it!

I got a dremel kit a few MG books a detail kit, some clothes and a new pair a shoes. My 13 year old daughter bought me a small black photo album for the TD. My new PC was an early gift about a month ago so I was not expecting much.

Jai Deagan and I geo-cached on the way to and from MG2005...great way to see the country...and some sports that are somewhat off of the beaten path. He's from Michigan, I'm from Illinois....

Got a fairly complete but yet compact tool set for the trunk(boot) of the Spider...along with about 5 pairs of flannel "lounge/sleep pants." Someone must be telling me something.....

Wife got me a 14" Leather (Mountney) steering wheel for the Midget. Very considerate bearing in mind she is a colossal vegetarian.
Also a Sirius Radio thingy for the BGT and a years worth of listening, and a coffee maker pot machine.
Yes Kenny, I got my daughter an MG shirt!!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif on the shirt - she needed one - hehehehehe.

I got several MG books, and a couple of books on antique tractors...the spouse gave me a pub table and four barstools for the barn office....the mom-in-law gave me a small dorm style refrigerator for my office in the basement.

I spent the day alone...and went over to a buddy's house...who has a sandblaster and powdercoat set-up...the attachment is what I made for me....I blasted the battery box cover of the 1968 MGC, then powdercoated it.

Oops....here's the attachment....

carpet for my TR6. Well, almost. My wife gave me the money to buy the carpet while I have the car apart for painting.

Lovely girl.

I got a battery charger, a halon fire system for the track car and a '61 Corvette. OK, so I had to buy the 'Vette myself, but it is still a Christmas present as far as I'm concerned

Any Vette pictures? Now that's a present!

I got a really nice bench vice from my father-in-law, and a Sears gift card from my Grandmother for some tools. She understands the LBC thing, as her 2nd husband had a beautiful MG TD that she loved to ride in.
