When I pulled up the carpet covering the rear seat platform, I discovered 2 sets of 4 holes in the sheet metal, one set on each side of the rear axle hump. They look like roll bar holes but they don't attach to the frame.
What are they?

Seat belts: Possible but I don't see where the other attachment would be.
Roll Bar: Maybe but again no corresponding vertical bracing point.
Another guess: In 65 they introduced the IRS. To satisfy dealer request they produced a solid axle version which this one is.
Maybe this is an IRS shell and these are the mounting points for the chassis on the live axle support?
