Over the weekend, I mocked up the paint scheme for my V8 project...using rattle cans, I painted the entire front clip (all fiberglass)...thinking about going back with original Pageant Blue, flat black hood bulge w/pinstripes (white or yellow) & the new MG X-Power green stripes & MG logo...here's a photo.....remember, this is my radical 300hp V8 with coliover front suspension, real rad rear end with disc brakes, etc, etc, etc...more photos on my website: https://www.theautoist.com

Remember, its only rattle cans paint & the stripes are just for me to evaluate so nothing's perfect & there are lots of details left off the body (like flares, fender port holes, Sebring valance, etc.)....whadda' ya' think?

What do I think?

1. I like it. Different, but not goofy. Nice.

2. You're pretty good with a rattle can.
 
Great work for a spray can. I like it. I probably would pick a different color for the stripe like silver, gold, white or red, but that's me. A car like that is supposed to be reflective of the individual.
I think it looks cool and will be a real attention getter. It definitely will not be a sleeper. No surprise here. Other people in traffic will be expecting it to be a car that can get off the line fast before you actually do anything.

Oh, don't worry...when the flares go on, the trim line disappears! &, there'll be no trim on side of car!
 
The car looks and sounds awesome. Personally I like the blue with the black hood but no other stripes..

Tony, is the engine out of it right now? It looks a little lite in the front.
 
Les...back when I was a kid, I got pretty good painting my old cars with rattle cans - but in person, you can tell this one is just temporary....
...however, there'sll be some rattle can work on the graphics of my $2005 Challenge car - a 1968 MGB GT!

heheheheh...I love ya', chuck...&, I'm gonna have a V6 - you're gonna install one in my '68 GT! Then, I'll have a V8 ("THAT THING") & a V6!
