ENOTS seem to be a type of early grease fitting/nipple.

They may also have had some application of steam locomotives, and this site remarks on a spray bottle used with it:"An ENOTS (I don't know exactly what the word means) valve was fitted to the engine so that the boiler could be refilled with a squirt bottle while the engine is under steam." Seems like its the sort of thing involved.
