I turned 40 yesterday. No fireworks or big hoohah but the mrs. got me a sirius radio for the truck/home. She's planning a big shebang for next Saturday. We both had to work yesterday.
Sirius is pretty cool. Tired of listening to the same old crud on the radio.
Congrats!
We just had a big birthday party this weekend for my younger daughter yesterday...she turned 30.
We have a big family and we actually celebrated 5 B-days at this event, including mine (56), but her big Three-Oh was the main focus.
I *know* it was a big party 'cause I drank two 25 oz Fosters. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
Several of my friends like Sirius radio due to the stock reports. I'd like the choice of music (like you). Hope you enjoy it.
Happy B'day, Vince! Run faster, jump higher... the decade between 40 and 50 seems somehow shorter than the previous ones. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
The day you turn 40 things start hurting that you didn't know you had, thinks stop working that you wish would, and your list of drugs prescription drugs grow about 1 per year. WELCOME TO THE LATER HALF.
Have the aches & pains for awhile now from working construction most of my life. It really does take its toll on yer body.
Pills are nill for now and hoping not to rely on them if'n I can git away with it.
Congrats!
Turned 40 myself a few months back, I find it's like being 24 but people finally take you seriously. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
Happy Birthday. I remember the 40th birthday party my friends put on for me. The gifts were "memorable". Hockey players, neighbors, and church members made for an interesting milieu.
