Turn Signal Lamps - Pull or twist off?

Need to replace my turn signal bulb and wasn't sure how to remove it. I got the cover off but the bulb is in their pretty tight. I didn't want to force it out unless I knew how it needed to be removed. Do you twist it out? Just wanted to make sure.

Just tried another one and figured out they twist off. However, the front is really stuck and not budging. Any suggestions on how to remove it without breaking it?

Try pushing in a little while turning. The sockets are spring loaded.
 
/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bow.gif I know you'll find this hard to believe but I needed to replace a bulb in Agatha and I couldn't get it to move. It never occurred to me that it would 'pop' out so I tried twisting to no avail. I then decided that it must be rusted so I sprayed Pam on it and let it stay for about an hour. Then I went back to try and untwist it with a cleaning rag (didn't want to get cut if I accidentally broke the bulb) and darned if it didn't just unscrew. I was so proud of me.

When hubby came off his tour of duty I told him what I had done. He suggested that perhaps in the future I might want to try WD-40. Well, shucks, Pam worked just fine.

He also told me that perhaps when I had to replace another bulb, I might just dab some vaseline on it.
 
judow, you should be proud of yourself! very inventive, next time you need to turn a stuck bulb instead of using a rag try pressing on the bulb with a short piece of soft rubber hose that has a diameter just shy of the bulbs diameter, "pam" i love it!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/savewave.gif
