Tracing the opening of a AH 100-4 rear fender

I am trying to over come major flared rear fenders on my 1956 100-4 and would like to bring them back to a stock opening. I have a very talented metal working friend who can do this if I can supply a tracing of the opening of one rear fender. I understand that the rear fenders are the same from 1950's to 1967 unless corrected here on the forum. I would be very happy compensate anyone willing to supply a tracing.

I'd do one from my 100/6 for you on some posterboard, but my car is presently located offsite, and I'm not sure when I'll get to see it again.

With any luck, someone a lot closer to you will come to your rescue!

If you tell me exactly how you'd like it traced I can do it as my fenders are off the car. Do you just want the fender laying flat on a piece of kraft paper and traced as if I'm shining a light straight down and I trace the shadow?

Would a good digital picture with dimensions work? That way you can print out the picture on 8.5 x 11 and then bring it to kinko's and have them expand it / plot it to real size?

Here is what I was talking about. You can grab this image (or I can send you the file), print it on 8.5 x 11 and then figure out how much you would need to expand it to get that lower dimension correct. I've used this method on a number of metal working projects with success. It does not take into account compounded curves, but not sure how you would do that from a tracing either. Let me know if there is anything else I could do to help.

I hope this note catches you before you go to the trouble of tracing the opening for me. You are very kind to offer. Healey Z has come up with the solution of working off his Healey fender pics and expanding them at Kinkos to the right size.
