The current wrench party started with a good 1/32 stream of oil thru the timing cover seal. Got down to the point of replacing seal and sleeve and noticed quite a bit of difference between the "bad" seal and "new". Offending leaking seal has metal body with rubber inner, new is all rubber, obviously both with metal spring loop to keep pressure on the sleeve.
It occurs to me, that like most LBC parts, there are "better" and "not so better". I hate to get it all back together and have to do it again.
The PO rebuild was not long ago and seal was replaced, leaking soon thereafter.
I don't want to be doing this again anytime soon.
Any hints as to what type seal, from who, has worked best and any assembly tips to ensure a probability of success.
