I have a question for you TR3 thru 4A owners. I am working on a 65 TR4a, and am having no end of difficulties getting a clutch slave cylinder that will work on this car. The existing cylinder is Lockheed, and is made of cast Iron. It uses an adaptor between the female end of the clutch hose and the cylinder. Both end of the adaptor are threaded 7/16ths. This is most likely the original part, and this set up matches the parts book exactly. The replacements being sold are girling, and they are aluminum. The fitting for the line is 3/8 female. Both cylinders have a 1" bore, but the seals will not interchange. I figure that there is some sort of conversion from lockheed to girling. Is there another clutch line available? Will TR250 or TR6 parts work? Does anybody have a Lockheed part number for a rebuild kit? I generally deal with TRF for parts, and have been working on this with Dave the tech hotline guy, but so far, noy joy. My customer wants to drive this car before he gets to old, so any thoughts, help ,suggestions etc are more than welcome. Thanks guys.
