Toyota tranny conversion question, oil drain hole

For those of you that put in a Toyota conversion. Did you drill a hole to drain any oil out of the bellhousing as in the original tranny? I did install the new oil seal conversion on the back of the engine but I also had small amounts of oil get passed that seal with the old transmission.

I can't see that drilling a hole would hurt but I would like to hear your thoughts.

You do want a drain of some kind, at least I decided so when I installed mine. In my case, instead of drilling a hole, I filed a couple of grooves with a 3/16" round file about 1/8" deep vertically in the bottom of the bellhousing to engine back plate mounting surface.
