December issue of Thoroughbred & Classic Cars magazine has an article about the cars that are a good investment...top 10 cars are exotics...then, there's a list of cars that'll make money over the mid to long range...only MG listed is the MGB GT....&, I've been buying every one I could find for the last few years....have 3 in my personal collection, 4 restorable ones for sale & 3 or 4 parts cars!! hehehehehehehehehehe
 
I had absolutely no interested in a GT, until I owned a roadster for a couple of years and the attraction of having a little more practical MG drew me to the GT...still does, almost bought one last year in fact - but I wanted another convertible more. I have it in mind to get a GT sometime in the next few years!

I think the reasoning behing picking the GT is the fact that they've been sooooo undervalued compared to a roadster that they've got further up to go. For years, especially in the late eighties and early nineties, the only MGB that could be sold for a profit was a wire wheeled roadster in red or green. Me? Were I offered a really nice GT at the right price, I wouldn't hesitate, but I've always liked coupes.

GT's have been very cheep compaired to roadsters over the years, so no place to go but up in value.
I have never been to keen on the looks of the GTs. I don't dislike them, just kinda neutral to them.

Oh, Tony, you wouldn't happen to have a restorable '68 or '69 MGB roadster with wire wheels, overdrive and air conditioning laying around needing a home would you? Air conditioning isn't a requirement, but would be a bonus. I'm not looking to buy one right this moment, but I'm moving into my new house next month and wana line something up for when I finish my TR7. =)
 
Mark...have a nice restorable '71 wire wheel roadster that's looking for a new home! Heck, it might be a '70, gotta look!
