Had a meeting and a car club dinner tonite so, took Ms Triss - 150 miles round trip. First stop, Ms Triss got a little miffed that I was paying attention to another car so she blew a rad hose in the driveway - was spraying out of two pinholes. Fortunately the guy was an LBC guy so we quickly removed the hose, duct taped like crazy, reinstalled and away I went with rad cap loose to relieve pressure. Even more fortunately I was 10 minutes away from my LBC parts guy who had one in stock, so, changed it in his yard and was only ten minutes late for my meeting - Other than that she performed flawlessly.

The reason Ms Triss was miffed was because I bought another car!!! 1969 Vauxhall Viva GT - was such a deal I couldn't pass it up. They only made about 4600 of them so they are very rare. The whole story is here:
JP's new toy

BTW Mrs JP is more wonderful than I deserve not only going for it but for suggesting I keep the Multipla too till later. Hurray!

Congrats! You've got <span style="text-decoration: underline">it</span> bad!.....Just like me!

Probably my favourite Vauxhall was the Gerry Marshall Firenza (below). His most famous racing Vauxhall was the "Old Nail". Gerry was sort of the ultimate Vaux-pilot, but also a bit of a horn-toad (like many "personalities").

You can read more about him ~Here~

I think some the North American Chevettes (including the Pontiac Arcadian) shared some parts with the UK Vauxhalls.
