Of course we all know that a chunk of felt is supose to be in the dizzy shaft hole under the roter with a drop of oil every so often. Wonder how many of you knew that.

However, I found thick felt to make one just right at my local Orthopedic & sports physical therapy center. They use peices of it to build up shoes and such. All you need of course is a bit of their waste.

This felt can also be used in the rear generator oiler. In side the brass oiler cover.

I do know of two other places on our cars that use felt, the top and bottom of the stearing column shaft but those must be cut just right and fited just so or you will have a stiff stearing car so it is best to order them and soak in oil before installing along with sanding the stearing shaft really smooth.
