Sounds like the time I was about 1-1/2 hours from home
and stopped at Safeway to pick up a can of soda.
For some reason,it didn't taste too good, but it lasted me
almost all the way home.

Turned out that I bought Club Soda, not knowing what it was.

Okay, a lot of current music IS garbage but you can't tell me that "Chevy Van" and "Seasons in the Sun" don't suck.

I read somewhere that your favorite music era generally corresponds to the happiest time in your life. I found that tidbit just after a 10-ish year period of listening to Top 40, and I found it oddly satisfying -- I was following current music trends and enjoying it more than the oldies station, and I was in fact generally much happier than I had ever been in my life.

If I ever find myself longing for 2010/2020s music I'll know something has gone terribly wrong...
