I can't find the thread where I saw this and can't remember who posted it.
I bought a bottle of "Purple Metal Polish" from California Custom Products Inc.
I used it to polish all the aluminum trim on my Bugeye. Wow does it work well. You basically just wipe it on and wipe it off and the Aluminum shines like a new dime. Although it is California Custom Products Inc. it was shipped to me from Schuyler, NE. I have used Mothers in the in the past but I like this much better. Thanks to whoever posted the link to this stuff.
I plan to try it on the chrome parts also.
Thanks again

It doesn't fill the holes at all . Like I said you just wipe it on and wipe it off. It is a liquid unlike a paste like mothers. I also wiped it on the aluminum around the windscreen also and it shined real nice.
The stuff is not cheap. It is $14.00 plus 6.50 shipping by USPS. I am going to try it on the bumper and bumperets next. It doesn't take much of the stuff since there is so little chrome and aluminum on the car. It will probably last me for some time.
One last point. The aluminum and chrome on my car is in excellent shape, so if yours is not I am not sure how well it will work. They have other products for deoxidizing aluminum etc.
