The prettiest british car ever...

Offline
OK... I guess this is sort of a challenge. no points are tallied... no one really wins (we all do, in a way)... but,

What is the prettiest british car ever made?

Opinions count... use yours! Multiple opinions are good too, but narrow it down to maybe 3 with a favorite of them all. I'm just curious, and this will be a good bit of a learning lesson for all of us! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Rarity, Current Market value, how known or unknown a car may be, or how popular or unpopular a car may be.... is totally irrellavent. I just want your opinion on which UK built car is the prettiest of them all, in you opinion. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

oooh. thats tough.. As the "common" cars go I'd kave to pick the Jag XK 120 roadster... But there are so many others too...

Well, there's pretty, and then there is drop-dead gorgeous! The E-type roadster, without a doubt.

I think i will have to agree with steve. maybe not the prettiest but definitely the sexiest.

I'm going in a different direction with my pick. MG TC. Perfectly proportioned, rakish and purposeful all at the same time.

good, I'm looking for different directions here... if everyone agrees on the xke, then we should all have 3. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif Also add my vote to the Etype. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I've got a few in mind, and so far... Steve S is closest to mine. I belive the E-Type Jag is in the top 10 easy, but there are a couple more pretty than it (especially after they lost the headlight covers, and gained the chrome wing strips)

I've had 4 (just not at the same time) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Actually, if I could have any car in the world, it would be the Bugatti Atlantique:

If we're going French / Italian then I want to revise my list.

61 XKE Roadster.

"Automobiles" on the History Channel is highlighting the '61 right now.

This has always been a favorite of mine. I am also partial to my GT.

Cliff's #10 is my #1. Followed by Elan, the +2, Esprit...
then about any Jag model, MGA & MGB.

Highly subjective.

If a "broader" selection were to be allowed I'd toss in Bertonè's GTV Alfa.

And NO French car would make my list. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
