The Neighbor a Triumph collector

The gentleman back the road who I had met a few times (enough to know he had a TR6) stopped today to tell me about the TR7 he bought his son from Florida.. It is a rust free DHC, metallic green just like the Sinister 8 but without the distintive yellow stripe. He said they have start taking apart the rear, the axle to get to the fuel tank. I offered him my help anytime he needed just needed to drop me a call. Then he dropped a bomb, he has not drive his 6 in 15 years since he had his kids, and he actually has two TR6s. The one he had driven regularly until his kids came and one in peices to include a totally rust free frame. As if that was not enought, I beleive he said his Corvette is a 68 DHC.

The TR7 is missing a few peices and he was up browsing my collection.

I feel toy envy. He has more better toys. I feel the need to go grab that GT6+ this week to start catching up.

He and his wife were both very nice, I could tell cause my Boston Terrier co-pilot felt it was ok for them to scratch him. It looks like I will not be with out a Triumph to work on for quite a while

I got married near UnionTown 20 years ago. Wife's uncle was pastoring a church in Mt. Braddock PA. We did a cross country road trip for that event.

I live outside Saxonburg but worked with a Guard Unit in Johnstown (Walters Ave), drop in Zelie quite a bit (Police Station Pizza is one of my favorite now)and dated a girl who had a camp out side Uniontown (I think it was Scottyland camp ground).

We should try to meet up sometime before it gets too crappy. More time and we could schedule one of my favorite rides up to Cook forest up the mountians...

Amazing I never realized just how many of us were this close to PGH

My brother and sister-in-law live in Cecil, PA. They don't own an LBC though. When they buy one, I'll speak to them again. They were not happy that I drove within 15 miles of their house on the way back from Ohio with the TR6. They didn't understand about the "mission" I was executing. Outsider's never will.

I had never had Pizza Station Pizza until one lady I work with demanded I bring some back for her and her boss. While there the counter guy tossed me a free peice and I promptly ordered two more, and $.85 a peice... what a deal.

My Girlfriend is legitimatly jealous of my car sometimes, but her quote is a car is a car so the is no understanding there just as I do not understand her need to spend $300 on a coach purse every 6 months

I built a new home in the farm land right below the armory that was developed in 1977.

To test so called natives, we used to ask them to correctly pronounce Zelienople. If they got it right on the first go, we bought the drinks, if they screwed it up, they had to buy.

I never spent too much on that deal.

Sounds fair. I enjoy hearing people from my office try to pronounce Punxsutawney. Many have never seen it spelled before.
I have heard some real butchering of the pronounciation of Zelie over the years.

As tough as Zelie and Punxy are, no one butcher those worse than the average Joe screws up the Monongahela river name. That is not even counting the Youghiogheny River

That is true. We also have the Connoquenessing Creek.

Be tough to get some one from West Virgina to Zelie... the directions migh go like this....... Drive north accross the Youghiogheny River until you come to the Monongahela river, head north until you come to Punxsutawney, head east to Connoquenessing then proceed 8 miles to Zelienople
