Thanks to Bill Karem, we have another sucker...I mean enthusiast. My father is headed to New Orleans Wednesday to purchase a TR6 Bill posted for a friend a few weeks ago. Looks like a good deal. Thanks Bill.

I'm sure you will see my dad on the forum as soon as he gets the car back to Nashville. He's always had a taste for adventure (motorcycle road racing at 40+ etc.) so he decided to pick up the car himself and drive it back. Keep your fingers crossed for him. Oh yeah...its a 76 that Bill's friend has owned for 20+ years.

Hey, Brent -

Tell your dad to wait 'til next week to pick it up. Then he can go to the New Orleans show that weekend. Several of us are going...

Mickey,

You're going to tell the owner of a new toy to wait a week to pick it up??? How about pick it up this week and meet you at the show with it?

Brent, glad it worked out for you guys (ya'll). I drove that car many years ago and it was a stormer back then. I know Peter was in a kink to sell it as he is going overseas. Hope all parties are happy. I think the car was owned by Dickie Brennan originally, of Brennan's restaurant fame in New Orleans. At least it should have smelled good at one time.

Speaking of famous, my dental assistant bumped into Angelina Jolie in the French Quarter last week. Like to gave her a heart attach. That said, my assistant is as pretty as Angelina. If you ever see an ugly girl working for me, you can bank on it that she would be a world-class assistant.

I will assume from your response that we should wait a while longer before considering a return trip?
I have been reading James Lee Burke lately and really have the itch to head south.

Another Dave Robichaux fan - GREAT!

And by all means, come on down! There are a number of us going, and it looks like it'll be a good show. We've been looking forward to it for a long while.
