ONE silly tappet. somewhere in the #3 or #4 area. Had the cover off twice, ran the adjustments all the way thru both times. Now headed for the thin shim stock and gonna run it 'cover off' and FIND that li'l sucka! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

#4 intake. I look like the "speckled hen" and there's some clean-up, but I WIN!!!

Smooooth now /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

thanks for the reminder.

It's about time that I readjust mine too.

Now I've gone "over the edge".

The bit of oil wot got sprayed about was easy enuff to wipe away... but I realised there could be opportunity for all that OEW paint to be stained in future.

So I've WAXED the inner fender wells and all I painted in there. Heater box, firewall, cover plates... I gotta be nuts. This ain't a TrailerQueen.
I'm losin' it, kids. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

I think that just goes to prove I'm not alone in my dementia, Steve! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Thanks, tho, for being my enabler. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

"Hi, my name is Doc, and I'm a neat freak."

Hmmmm... just doesn't sound right, does it? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

When it comes to 'finished' cars, tools and work it does. The rest can just about turn to *bleep* tho. Odd bit is: I never used to be that way. Everything had a place and should be IN it when not in use.

I'm blamin' Horsemits!! Whenever she's done with a project she just walks away from the work area. All tools and/or materials are left in the last place she set 'em. Drove me bat-stuff crazy for YEARS. Now I just shrug.

I'll pick any of MY tools she's used outta the pile and clean/put 'em away.

I've mellowed. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

If you can't clean it : paint it.
Confusious

When "now"? And pray tell, how do I find the edge? It all seems so blurry.

I am beginning to substitute the fantasy for the real thing.

That particular "now" was after the second pot o' coffee was half gone. As for finding the edge, I've been told it's simple: just follow the lemming in front of you.

bah! that's just an old wive's....

Uh-huh.

"How we doin'?"

"So far, so goooo..."

If memory serves... "If it moves, salute it. If it doesn't move, paint it white." And yes, certainly naval.
