Sunbeam S9???

dint know anything about it ..but ..It sure is pretty!

You're right!

They didn't make the S9, the only ones built with that designation were prototypes, and they looked nothing like this one...... The S-Series machines were all shaft-drive, based on DKW and BMW machines that were seized after WW2. The machine pictured is definitely not shaft-drive.

This one does look pre-war, my guess being that it is the Sunbeam Model 9, made from 1932 until 1938 when it was replaced by the A27. It looks right for one of those. Just simple error on the part of the vendor it seems.

According to Millers Classic Motorcycle Guide it should be worth between $6,700 and $7,400. Looks to be in good shape.
