Sun Visors For A Bugeye

I would love to have a set of "Sun Visors" that I could attach to my 60 Bugeye windscreen.
I tried a pair that attach to the sun shade of a car but they just won't stay on.
I looked at Moss part #240-300, but they wont fit a Bugeye windscreen.
I don't want to drill holes in the windshield surround, and I am not capable of making any myself.
If anyone wanted to take on this project and make Sun Visors for a Bugeye I would help fund the project and help to market them to other Bugeye owners.
I almost hesitate to drive west when the sun is setting, but with a nice set of Sun Visors it would be so much more pleasurable.

A good ball cap plus sunglasses is the easiest. If its a regular trip you could probably clip something on the inside of the windscreen fairly easily.

Kurt.

Even with Sun Glasses etc. the sun going down in san Diego can be horendous. There are no mountains etc. to block the sun.
The Sun Visors I saw on an MG Sunday at the La Jolla car show made me very envious and I checked into them but you need a straight ridge on the top to make those fit.
my problem is I wear prescription sun glasses. I don't want my sunglasses to be to dark. I had dark prescription sunglasses and they drove me nuts.

You need to have some way to attach a span of aluminum channel across the windscreen pillars.

My former law partner is a pilot. He rode in one of my Bugeyes one day, and the sun was a killer at that time of the day. He suggested these:

It was reasonably priced, so I bought one. I still have it, and I store it between the seat and the driveshaft tunnel. It does the job, but the suction cup leaves a telltale mark, so I need to clean the windshield after each use.

Hey John are you back up North yet? You just may have solved Bill's problem.

Hi Jim -

Heard you had s**w earlier this week! Thinking of heading north with trailer and Bugeye in tow next week. I will give you a shout and we will run a few LBCs.

That really looks like it will do the job. I plan on ordering two of them in case my passenger needs one too. As for cleaning the windshield I seem to have to clean it frequently anyway.
Thanks for the heads up.

Well I just bought two of the visors. It took a guy from Bonita Springs to help out a guy in Bonita. Thanks for springing into action. No Pun intended. HA HA
Hope you and Jim can get together. He really needs a ride in a Bugeye.

Wow! Talk about fast service. I ordered the sunvisors on Thursday and they will arrive Saturday via USPS priority mail. Apparently they have a East coast and a West Coast warehouse

You need to pick up Marc and see that his Bugeye really runs!!!

That would make 3 BE's definitely could be fun.
