I know porn will get you banned here, well I'm going to take my chances  Here a set of race prepped HS6s I just finished for a MGB vintage customer, I'm pretty proud of them, they have a bunch of bells and whistle, tweaks and mods, including custom CNC velocity stacks we made for them. We'll Use the K&N cone filters on the stacks, the velocity stack's OD were made to fit the K&N cone filters.

Nice Hap, I can't tell by the picks, did you epoxy ramp them?

Pat

Hap's photos are certainly examples of professional carb porn--beautiful work.

Here is some amateur stuff--the HS 6's for my Elva on a Maniflow intake manifold. I use the thick round K&N's.

Nice looking carbs Michael. The last set of race HS6s I built I used a customer supplied Maniflow intake, I have to say I like the Lynx aluminum intake better after working wth both, you have to make your own throttle linkage bar, but I like being able to do more porting to the cast aluminum intake, with the tubing ones, you can clean them up, but thats about it, since it is a piece of pipe. These carbs will use the K&N RU-4110 univiersal cone filter like these, they flow great and are real easy to get on and off in a hurry, we disign the velocity stack to 3.5' in diameter to accept the K&N filter. Also here's a couple of shot of the HSs set for a spridget 1275 I did a while back using the Miniflow intake, the velocity stacsk are basicly the same, but these were made by somen else out of nylon, I likes the idea of maing them out of aluminum, so we tweaked the desing and bit and made a run of aluminum ones.

Sorry, that above set was a set I did for a Midget with twin HS4s, here's the set of HS6 with the nylon stacks.

Hap--

Your work is superb. I'm going to be down at CMS for the VDCA event February 21-22. Any chance I will see you there?

Hi guys, I'm into SU carb porn too. You all have some fine looking work on display, I am impressed. Here is some more amature porn. This is my tripple HD6 set-up I put together last year. Manifolds are DW, just like stock Healey tri-carb except cast with thicker walls and can be enlarged to 2". I don't have much experience at posting pictures so I hope this works.

Dave,

The picture doesn't due justice to the fine work you did on your tri-carb
set-up. Is everything ready to ROCK for this years SOVREN race season? I stopped by to talk to Arnie Lyoning today about flow testing my head after the massaging I gave it to match it up to the Ruddspeed triple 2" SU HD8 system I'm installing. I maybe looking at a cam swap with the increase in flow I now have. I'll post pic.s of my system when completed. I really got to get moving on this project since I also schedule dyno time for next month while at Lyonings today.

Believe it or not, I will be there, helping a MGB GT and hanging around a couple of Moragan buddies, look me up. I've been wanting to go to a VDCA event, so here's my chance, only about 150 mils from home.

Heat resistent material, got it from Pegasus, comes in square sheets per foot, I found many purposes for it.

I enjoy the petite stuff but what really starts my motor (literally) is the "big boy"
2" HD 8 triple SU system. I just finished the final mock-up with my Ruddspeed
manifold and 3 modified 2" SU's that I'm using on my Austin-Healey 100-6 MM this race season.

Custom cold air box and racing header heat shield to aid in performance.

Forgot to show what's "under" the cold air box.

Yes, the factory always went for 2", but I have never seen any actual data that justified going above triple 1 3/4" - anyone else seen anything?
