The TR7 I just got has HORRIBLE throttle response. Basically, when you let off the throttle, it takes way too long for the revs to drop.
I'm assuming there's an issue with the Strombergs. I've rebuilt plenty of SUs, but I've never digged into Strombergs (I never worked on my TR-250's.)
As I remember, the Strombergs use diaphrams? Could someone point me towards the probably problem areas and best solutions?
By the way, this car has a manual choke conversion -- Not that it makes a difference. The Carbs were also replaced in 1999 (1500 miles ago.)
Thanks,
Sam
