Anyone know a good place to have a wheel recovered?

This is the 13" Grant wheel I use on the ITB Pinto.
So it deserves first class treatment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The original covering was distracting me as it was coming off....
I found myself picking at it on the straights.

Leather.......

I heard if you send it out, they(?) will do a much better job.

(Some type of "baseball" stitch?)

I was all over the net searching for a company & there are several out there.
About 1/2 look kinda fly-by-night.
Wondering if anyone else managed to find a good shop for this.

I can't imagine a professional shop doing much better than the wheel skins kit I used. I was suprised how well it came out, actually.

That looks great.

Ordered one today from Wheelskins.

Thanks much....Soon I'll have a happy Pinto /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks like about 45 bucks for our sizes, any color.

Gave them perfect measurements. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Sales slip says no refunds on special orders.
We'll see when I call em Monday.

(Also....Not enough thread to finish)

NO!....I wouldn't put this on a Pinto! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif

And there's probably someone out there struggling to put your cover on a 14" wheel!
The two of their covers that I've installed fit like the proverbial glove. I did the baseball stitch on both of mine, and that's a PITA. But it looks nice when finished.

Perfect!!!.....Rarely do you find such an agreeable and pleasant resolution when having problems nowadays.

My thanks to Carol at Wheelskins.

(Next day they sent me a new cover.....No charge & I didn't have to go through the return hassle)

Happy Pinto....Maybe I'll go faster now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
