Hello all.
I wanted to inquire about starter solinoids for BJ8. I recently had problems with my stater, and thank goodness for that little manual push button on the solenoid, or I would have unecessarily had the starter off. The fault was in the solenoid itself.
My 1967 Bj8 was about 200 cars from the end of the production line, and my parts supplier spec'ed out a solenoid (lucas repro) that does not look like the push button type. She said that this one was used on later Bj8's.
I want to findout from the experts in the forum to verify that the Bj8 could have used two alternative stater solenoids?
This solenoid also has an extra small-sized lucar terminal that was explained as a "take off for the coil". I don't know what that means?
