Smith's Heater Box - AH Spares

So I had my heater box blasted and powdercoated and I'm not happy with the result - apparently is was just a bit too pitted and the pits show through...which is not what I am going for... :smile:

So I purchased the box and covers from AH Spares -

Does anyone know if these have "Smiths" stamped in them?

They'll show up soon and I'll know then, and I should have asked before I bought them, but I made a snap judgement...
 
Probably made by Ashley Hinton and likely cheaped purchased directly from him.
 
AH Spares may have gotten them cheap, but they certainly dont's pass any savings along...and they are the only ones I found that have the heater box... mine showed up tonight and looks exactly like the original, so I'm happy. :smile:
 
The front and rear plates from Ashley are 13 GBP each with postage to the US at 8 GBP. The same plates from AHSpares are 15.50 GBP and 14.95 GBP respectively. Not a huge difference.

How do you purchase items directly from Ashley Hinton? I went to his web site once but [it] required a password to view prices and/or order. I emailed him to ask but his response led me to believe He didn't know what I was talking about and wasn't interested in dealing with me anyway. The whole thing was kinda strange because I was led to his website after He posted on Spritespot asking people to take a look and consider buying from him.

That's the same experience I had. He has some other products I'd like to buy, but he is so unresponsive I can't get thru. I'm sure it's just a glitch in his system since he tries to sell his products here and on ebay.
