My healey developed a massive rear seal leak, I won't be driving it until I get the repair kit. (Not looking forward to this repair)

The rear engine seal. I'm going to pull the trans this week, and install the updated seal kit. (Not much fun if you ask me. (It's a crap job, but somebodies got to do it!)

I'm very excited about the meet on Sunday. I just joint the San Diego chapter and look forward to meeting other Healey owners.

I still have a few things to do on my car before I can start driving it.

Install tail lights, Overdrive linkage, bleed the break and clutch systems, cooling system flush, and other odds and ends.

I had a BN1 about 20 years ago and am now reliving the fun.

Have fun with the seal kit. I just installed a seal kit on my BJ8 a month ago. I am still trying to get my car back together so I can drive it to the show. My car is a daily driver. So as long as I get a coat of wax on it and can start the engine, I will bring it.

I belong to the SD chapter also. Just haven't been to a meeting for a long time. One of these days...

It's a 67 BJ8, black with red interior. I hope to have it there. I am going to pick up the head in a bit. Still need to pull the tranny to fix a rear plate leak on the engine, change the motor mounts, and other misc things. That gives me the rest of the nights this week and Friday/Saturday day to get things running!

Hi Mark, I see you have a bit to do. Regarding the motor mounts if you did not obtain them from BCS [Knock] they may not fit correctly and it would be a significant waste of time to attempt the change.--Fwiw--Keoke

Thanks for the heads up Keoke. What doesn't fit? Is it the hole alignment or is there just too much rubber material? I don't really need to change them. They are not spongy at all. I just thought I would take care of them while I was in the vicinity since I changed out the trans mounts already.

Hi Mark , on the front mounts and upper rebound buffers they are too small and the pin holes are incorrectly positioned. On the rear mounts under the tranny I have no experience with those from Moss.---Keoke

Hi Keoke,

The rear tranny mounts from Moss aligned just fine for me. The engine compartment is fairly empty right now. I will do a quick check tonight (or thereabouts) on the motor mounts for fit before I start on them. Or... maybe I just leave them alone and call it done. One less thing on my list!
