I just purchased a 78 MG Midget. What is the best way to clean, treat, shine, & protect the rubber bumpers? Should they have a shine or be a flat black? What is the best products to keep the bumpers looking nice? What type of paint would you use if you needed to touch up the bumper? Thanks.

There is a produst called back to black or of the such. I have used on my MC2 and my heep (old Jeep) with success, but the surface must be clean first.

When I had my first Midget I happened to be in Florida and accidentally came upon a product that made the bumpers shine very nicely. Surfboard wax! On a warm, sunny day let it melt on and wipe off the excess. I can find it here in Wisconsin, it should be available somewhere in Oklahoma.
