Rock stands pressed on?

I'm restoring a BJ7. My machinist has the rocker assembly. He's done other british cars but not an AH. Does anyone know if the rocker stands are pressed onto the shaft? How do the oil holes line up, shaft to rocker & shaft to stand?

Hi Restore,
Everything should slip on but they are relatively tight clearances. The oil tube from the cylinder head locates the shaft to one of the pedestals. The tube fitting should be installed before the rocker assembly is put on the head to avoid stripping the threads of the tube fitting or the shaft.

You may wish to send it to someone who knows Healeys. There are a lot of them out there and some are great, some are not. A lot ($) depends on that being done right. Just my 2 cents.

Rocker Arm Specialists, Anderson, CA. https://www.rockerarms.com. Lots of recommendations on this forum. My experience is that they do what they say, when they say it, for the price they quote. Results were top quality. Not cheap, but well worth it from my perspective.

restorethemall,im also redoing my bj7,i will be sending my assembly to the same place as suggested by cutlass, the price of a new "original" type unit is about $260.00 you can get yours rebuilt for about $205.00 much better deal i.m.o

Thanks guys. I'll consider the great advice. You know, a guy could almost rebuild an entire car using the help on BCF!
