Quick wiring question

Just about ready to start buttoning up the dash but I only want to do this once. I have the LG/G wires on the left side of the gauge looking at it from the front. Is this correct or do I need to reverse them?

The later type Smiths gauges (such as this) do not care which side (which lug) is connected to the power supply from the stabilizer... or which side is connected to the sending unit wire. You'll be fine regardless of which side of the gauge the light green wire is on.

Woohooo happy dance time. Hooked up the battery no signs of smoke and every thing works except for the brake warning light and the windshield washer pump which I can hear trying to work but I wouldn't be suprised if its rusted up. Car fired right up and the guages work fine which is great as I dont want to pull the dash again. Now I just need to install the vents and the glove box and wait for the seat foam and leather seat covers to show up and the interior will be done.

The "warning light" will likely be the bulb or its connection. Just clean the contacts at th' bulb holder first.

Run a small paper clip, welding tip cleaner or the like down the washer jets; most likely some junk in there if the hoses are connected.

Doc's probably right about the brake warning light.

Everything now works with the exception of the warning light. I'm wondering if its a bad switch. It has power to it but nothing when the test button is pushed via the bulb or multi meter.

Washer jets are nice and clear but needed adjustment. Took a direct hit in the face when I pushed the button for the first time.
