Question about Interior Restoration

my 76 B is in need of a complete new interior.

I know that Moss sells the parts separately or in a kit. (and you have to redo the seats yourself)

I was curious if anyone has used/seen the victoria british interiors.

so if you had to do it all over again, which way would you go to do a new interior?

Rob

Moss....& its all very easy to do...after you've gotten all your prices, send me the Moss numbers you're interested in & I'll tell you what you'll need to do to finish it off properly (& the cost)

I would more than likely go the same way I did before. Moss for the panels and carpet and seat foams and prestige for the seat covers. Very happy with the end results. Rebuilding the seats is a fairly easy afternoon job as long as your not doing major repairs to the seat frame.

Am going pretty much the same way as Stewart. Would have liked to do the colored piping but I have a 69 and seat covers are a bit of a problem cos it was the first year with head rests and the seats are unique to the year. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif

Yeah, '69 had the "tall" headrests and covers unique to that year. Have you got a good boat canvas/upholstery shop anywhere near you, Peter? Sometimes the boat guys are better (and less expensive) than car upholstery shops.

Just a thought.

Prestige made headrest covers for me for my '69 for no extra cost over the regular kit. I got their kit in biscuit.

Thanks for all the input.

Peter and Stewart, did you go with prestige seat covers for the leather option? I would prefer leather seats, curious if that influenced our decision.

Peter,

If you're referring to Enzo, the pup in the pic...he's harmless. He's just a big ol' baby!

Excellent name!

But...but.... he's grey, not red!!! On the other hand, I had friends with a tabby cat named Surtees, so I s'pose it makes sense. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Rumor has it Il Commendatore was anything BUT a big ol' baby, tho.

WOW!! That interior looks FANTASTIC!! Mine is currently being restored. I am doing the interior on my 79 MIdget. I am not sure whether to buy the tan o go straight black again. The car is white but getting repainted midnight blue. Any suggestions?

Blue n tan looks ok, so does blue n black. but it's your car. If I wasn't worried about originality, I'd probably go with the tan as its cooler on your thighs (if you wear shorts) when you come out of the grocery store.

I went with the leather seats. Very nice quality and for the price he's hard to beat.

The one complaint I have about replacing the interior is the loss of that wonderful old car smell.

you haven't been in any of my old cars have you? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

ha, that old car smell. All of the kick panels and door panels were out of the car when i got it, and they are a stinky pile at the moment. I am holding on to them until the new ones are in place, then they can be properly retired to somplace i can no longer smell them!
