Gregg,

Sorry, I don't have any shoes. But I am interested in where you plan to send them, what kind of lining will be used, & whether it is riveted or bonded. Thanks,

check out porterfields web site. they are supposed to be considerably better than
stock. i have a 289 in my 3000 and NO booster.
several of the guys on the modified healey site
say that they are a major improvement.i ordered
the pads,but haven't gotten them yet.i'm using
new brakes from MOSS and they do not work well
without the assist.

Gregg,
It looks like the Porterfield R4S linings are about the best thing that I have run across for shoe lining. I was previously considering "woven segmented" lining for it's good action with non power assist brakes. I did quite a bit of internet checking & there are no detractors, all good. From my small world I'd never heard of Porterfield. Thanks, I think Porterfield is a better way to go.

got the front pads. make a big difference! ordered a set of new shoes to send them as cores.
i think it will be worth the money. i was not at
all confident that the stock brakes would work in
a jam.
