Old Car Price Guide

Does anyone out there have one around? The appraiser for the other person who hit my 73GT is going to use that to get his estimate on the car's value. The guy was nice enough and we talked about all kinds of stuff after he was done BUT, I have been unhappy the previous two times I have had to go through this and do not want to lose on this one.
Any help out there would be appreciated.

I've always used NADA for book values and eBay for real-world values. The part you cannot account for is all your hard work!

Give him your appraiser's price...& I'd worry about an appraiser who doesn't know how to calculate value! Were you closer, Carl, I'd do the appraisal for you.

Your labour never has any value. Only appraised or Blue bood prices will have any value in court. Even receipts are irrelevent.

That 1975 Pinto is worth $75 even if you did put in 10,000 hours and $10,000 blueprinting it.

Beg to differ - when Jerri's 190E was totalled, we showed the other guy's insurance company receipts for several upgrades we had recently done - beyond normal maintenance/repairs - & they added that to the value of the car.

He did write down the value of every mechancal thing done. But he was specific about this particular book as the guide he would use. I have had the car appraised as I just put it on the road as a driver and the body is still bad (but she goes like heck
He said the online NADA was highly overinflated (not a good sign).

Well, there's always Kelley Blue Book but I've found it to be less than flattering when pricing old MGs. I'll keep my eyes open for the book you mentioned.

Kelley only seems to go back to '92 online. Found two other sites. One valued a condition #1 67B at $10,950 (I dont think so )

That isn't enough for a real-world value. Honestly I feel eBay is a good guide of what people will pay, with the occasional overpriced sale. But I doubt an appraiser would agree to use eBay.

I used to buy old car price guide at the supermarket... I'm sure any good magazine stand or book store will have it. And if he has to use that to price the car - I'd just go look at the magazine, and you'll already know what prices he's gonna quote.
