Who's here? Who's stuck, snow'd in without power (that we know of)? Sound off...

Huh? It's 6:00am? 5 more minutes.

...at least we know Springfield has power... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

Tis calm here in the finger lakes.... cold, but calm. extra coffee, and the winter boots thismorning. yesterday my toes hurt by the time I got to work. 11 deg F + hamster breath heater on full defrost to keep the windshield clear = frozen feet.
Hope all others are faring well.

Just woke up - what happened while I slept?

Nothin' of note. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Just figger'd by now there'd be a "digging out" from the storms, most will have things back in order. Posted this as a "check-in board" of sorts.

Darn near hit forty degrees yesterday! Ten degrees cooler today though. Still hitting the negative numbers during the wee hours. More snow coming this weekend. Five weeks in a row woo hoo. Still have two plus feet sitting the front yard. Even after a few good days of melting. I don't think I'll be able to wash my TR8 for another month. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

No snow yet. 35 degrees F - Predicted light snow for tonight and barely a trace tomorrow according to the high priced weather service we subscribe to. Can't wait, every time light snow predicted I'm usually shoveling it for hours. This is suppose to be a nice Nor'easter (minimal snow) though with plenty of nice cold BRRRRRR wind! Update tomorrow if the snow is light and Mr. back is kind.

Sunny here finally. Yesterday was thunderstorms, hail and snow. Lots of busted water pipes as temperatures dipped down into the teens in the surrounding areas. We got lucky and it was only a little below freezing at our house. Typically it doesn't get that cold for so long, so our plants couldn't take it and we lost hundreds of dollars worth. But I do plan to get some fresh air int he garage today and take an M.G. or two out for a bit of exercise. It's been two weeks since any were driven which is far too long, but I've been out of town.

Light flurry here, none has stuck, probably alot less then in Denmark.

Patrick

No snow here to speak of, but lots of ice. The wind finally picked up today, so there are trees dropping like flies. No power problems, yet.
Good heaters in both of the Volvos, so it's a toasty ride to work in the morning when the temp is hovering around 5.

We know who's where, what's happenin' there.... As mentioned: time has elapsed and those who've "dug out" should start to report in by now...

33Âş and dropping with a light rain.

No snow here.
~sniff sniff~

We need a proper pelting of powder.

Well, if I were stuck in the snow without power, I couldn't post this, so that's a good sign.

Actually, we got snow in the LA area yesterday--a little dusting in Malibu Canyon and some in the San Fernando Valley. Other than a little on the top of Palos Verdes 20 years ago, which is high, so it doesn't count, there has been no snow in LA since the 1940s. Although, the 1945 (or was it 46?) snow was actually a significant one, not just some flurries. Enough to make snowballs.

On the other side, my wife is off to Finland next week, where it's unseasonably warm, and they just got their first light snow in the last week or so. Europe is in a heat wave, of sorts, and the US is freezing its collective buns off. Go figure.
