Before our Yosemite trip I installed the new top, just in case we got t-storms. We did get a few drops at the top of the pass late in the afternoon, but not enough to put the top up.
The old top never fit right. Turned out the metal edge that fits to the bottom of the wood front bow was the wrong arch. Maybe from a BN2 or something. Anyway I got it to fit by slicing it part way through every three inches or so and re-arching it to fit the new wood bow I bought with the top.
The new pieces came from AH Spares on the island. Top was 109, wood bow was 43 and tonneau cover was 92. (these are pounds, not greenbacks).
All went on OK. Took my time and worked off of center lines. For and aft index is the rear of the window opening matching the rear of the door. I think it came out OK for a one man job. The material is fantastic and easy to work with. I had this stuff since December, but never got around to installing it until now. We have never driven the car with a top up.
