I've owned MGBs since the early 70's, starting with a 71 B Roadster in BRG. Most memorable trip was from South Georgia to Watkins Glen NY to see the Can Am and Sports Prototype races. Had to part with that one due to the economics of going to college, but "inherited" a 67 B Roadster from my sister in 1978. I planned to re-paint, reupholster and flip the car, wound up restoring it (twice) and drove it until 2007. I traded that car for a 69 Camaro, and that B was sold to a customer in Denmark! I got the urge to dive back into the MG world after I retired, found an original owner 74 B GT that had been unregistered and in a garage since 1988. Bought that car in 2019 and have spent the last three years resto-modding, basically restoring the car but transplanting a GM 3.4 V6 and T5 tranny. Just about done with that one, now on to the next chapter in the progression of my disease - I bought a pretty nice 69 B Roadster from the widow of the man who loved it. No rust, minor body damage, good interior, nice folding top and what I think is a "factory" fiberglass top. Needs an engine rebuild, minor bodywork and complete re-spray. I plan to keep this one more or less original, with mods to the B engine to give it reasonable performance by today's standards. Found a good OD trans, so this should make a nice Canyon Carver (if only we had canyons in SE Texas). Hoping to learn a lot from the members of this Forum.

Welcome to BCF, bowerb ! That's a lovely pair of MGs you have acquired! I'm sure you'll find the MG forum here very helpful (and from the sound of it you'll likely be a lot of help to others).

Cheers - Basil
