Hello y'all - Merry Christmas from south Texas! I've been an MG lover since college back in the '70's, when I owned a Midget for a couple years before it got smashed in an accident resulting from its diminutive nature, where another driver couldn't see me. A good lesson about defensive driving! I briefly owned a '76 B in the mid-'80s, which turned out to be loaded with mechanical issues beyond my facilities and skillset. Then in 2015, I re-took the plunge and bought both an '80 MGB in Brooklands green, and a '75 Midget in custom burgundy, both of which have served me well and are a joy to drive, tinker, maintain and enhance. I have converted both back to chrome bumpers, and put an overdrive unit in the B so I can be less of a hazard on the Houston freeways, which are otherwise awash in massive oversized monster pickups (95% of which aren't carrying anything). I look forward to engaging with the other brilliant, tasteful lovers of our classic British cars!

P.S. I would also love to see the MG Cyberster concept car make it to market, and a new network of dealers established in the USA!

Howdy -welcome to BCF. I was born in Fort Worth, then taught in the RGV (Edinburg) and later at Lamar U in Beaumont. Community Coffee is great stuff! and so are beignets from Cafe' du Monde in N'orleans.

Didn't know about the Cyberster until you mentioned it. Great looking car for sure. But the chicken vs egg problem: how do you get dealers across the USA if most folks haven't heard of the car they'd be selling!

Good to have you with us.

Glad to have you aboard! Good to hear to jumped back into the LBC world after some time away! Interesting about the MG Cyberster. I had not heard of that either. Not my cup of tea (I'd rather have a real MG that smells of petrol and oil  ). Looks too futuristic for my taste, but I'm sure it would attract many if they ever go into production.

I'm a bit torn on the Cyberster myself...probably not really an issue as the price point will likely be *way* out of my league, but it would be nice to see MG back in the US market with something that doesn't look like every other car out there today.

Personally, I think the lines of an MGB are about as perfect as a car can get
