Hello everyone, I have a 1967 Triumph Tr4a irs. I have owned it for 43years and it was my first car. I am getting ready to restore it. It has been in storage for 20yrs. Needs new rockers, but is otherwise solid. It needs stripped down and repainted. My family has owned several British cars from MG's, Austin Healy, Triumph and Jaguar. My late brother Richard restored Jaguar XKE's for many years. He did it all from drivetrain and paint to interior. I learned a lot from my dad and as well as my brothers about repair and restoration work.

Hello DR and welcome

If Restoration is in your future and the car has sat for 20 years. finding parts, seals, and motor parts are a breezes. Finding people to do some of the work is another case. Start with find a club and look through You Tube.

I plan on doing 99% of the work myself. Parts have gone up a lot from 20 or 30yrs ago. I may need to round up some friends to take the body off the frame and a few other things. It's a pretty solid old car. I know it will take a lot of new parts to put it back right. I painted it last time and plan to again. It was head turner 20years back.

43 years - that is quite a history. Great looking car you have there. And your LBC family history is outstanding. Congratulations!

"Parts have gone up a lot from 20 or 30 yrs ago." Ain't that the truth!

Here's our Triumph area, when you're ready to share your headaches and successes:

Herrin is in a really beautiful part of Illinois. Used to go hiking and camping down there, back in the day.
Good to have you with us.
