Need some photos

I am starting (restarting the PO's restoration) on my Midget by restoring and rebuilding the front suspension and doing (redoing) the paint work in the engine bay and in the wheel wells.

The problem, at least one of them, is that I have no idea what is supposed to be body and what is supposed to be black or some other color.

These pics give an idea of what I am starting with.

Someone definately resprayed that engine room, there are things in there that are green and shouldn't.

Jack love to give the blow by blow.

If he doesn't I can give you some starts.

For starters; the steering rack (and mounts), shocks and steering column should not be painted the body color.

Stearing rack black, stearing shaft black, shock bodies natural, shock arms black, springs black, a frame black, springs black, all sway bar black, tie rods black, wheel backing plates black, stearing arms black, engine mounts black.

Other questions ask, all else green in your case. or body color.

Much appreciated! The PO put so much work, time, and money into this car but seemed to stop short on the details. To be fair he had never attempted anything like it before and was really on his own. I think he got through the body work and made a half hearted effort on the front suspension. The drivers side did not have the spring in and was only assembled enough to push the car around the shop and onto a trailer.

So I am starting from the bottom up. My first priority is to get the front and rear suspensions in top condition so I don't have to go there again and can at least put the wheels and old tires on and be able to move the car around. Along with that I will get the engine bay in order.

The engine has never been in a the car since it was rebuilt. But it has been a few years since that time so I am going to mount it on my engine stand and take a look inside. I will also paint it. I will also take a look in the tranny and replace the seals.

With a little luck I hope to have the suspension and driveline in the car with the bay and underneath painted and detailed by late fall.

The rear of the body from around the gas filler to the boot handle needs some work. An attempt was made to repair some crunch damage but I feel it needs to be professionally repaired. That could be a good winter project. With some luck I might have this on the road next year.
