Hi all

anyone know a source for soda powder for soda blasting ?
Sodium bicarbonate I guess is the commercial name,

it does not have to be food grade, just industrial grade ,

Is it used for some other process ?

also search Arm and Hammer

you will need dedicated hardware for soda blasting

Feed grade sodium bicarb by Arm & Hammer should be available to you in 50 lb bags from a livestock feed company. eg
OH Kruse 310 South San Antonio, Ontario, CA 91761. Used extensively for feeding dairy cows. Don't know about the grit size. It is fine, like that you buy in box in the store.

Paul, it's used as a method of paint removal. Just a different media than sand, plastic, etc.

Jeff, Are you saying that soda blasting will remove paint, but does no damage to the metal and thus causes no distortions? PJ
