Hello,
I was curious if this is how the convertible top is delt with on the MK.1 and MK.2 midgets? I wasn't aware that the top was to be stored in the trunk, just curious.
The MG Midgets Mk.1 and 2 do not use a Top Boot because the Convertible Top and it’s Frame stows away in the Trunk when not erected.
The only MG Midget to use a Top Boot is the Mk.3, this is because it has a Folding Frame with the Top attached to it, the Frame is bolted to the Car Body and it with the Top remain on the Car when the Top is Folded.
I came across this, and was wondering why no boot covers for my 1965 midget were made, and i guess this is why.
