Engine is already removed to make it even easier and I have a TR8 subframe from Brad ready to go with it even....

Probably doesn't even need paint!

I even have the two front wing lights that at missing. That us a pretty sweet donor car, the subframes are either hard to find or expensive. Sounds like a good package. I would like the SD1 personally

Is 1 of the Rover motors an over head cam?

If you could round up a truck load of those babies and send them east, there would be a big demand. I had to go all the way to Atlanta(1200 miles)this past summer to find a clean white convertible shell for my buddy's rebody. Car- $1200, Gas and hotels-$800. $2000 and three long days out of my life, but well worth it considering what is available in the Northeast. I knew a guy who was a merchant marine. He stopped at ports along the west coast. He would spend thousands of dollars pulling rust free sheetmetal at junk yards. When he got back to Boston, his dad would sell the stuff for more profit than the kid made as a sailor. That was before the days of E-bay.

I only want $500 for the shell - even with shipping that is less than you'll get on the East Coast and she is in outstanding shape.

Come on guys - let's make a deal.

I really really really don't want to send this car to it's doom.

Any idea what shipping on that would be to NY? (My birthday is coming up and I want an -8 in the worst way...)

Should be under a grand since I can get it to the LA shipping hubs. No cost on the subframe I'll pack it with the car...

We need to find some one with a big ole' warehouse to start collecting the orphan cars. For a few dollars a month you can support the endevor and have access to the parts.... Kind of like Sally Struther sort of thing

can you pm me with your zip - i'm trying to figure a shipping quote. also the pics look decent, but what's the rust situation underneath - usual spots, sills/inners/trailing arms and turrets.

i know it's not expensive, so i don't have a right to any expectations, but i don't want a car that needs any welding. i do want to put a v8 in it though...

She is totally solid - was an inland SoCal car her whole life. I don't think you'll have any welding to do at all.

I'll take a bunch of pictures of all the worry spots this weekend for anyone who wants them.
